Hope in Jesus
We are in a challenging time because of the pandemic, and we are facing the unknown. No one knows what the future holds, and this causes fear and anxiety. The only thing that would make sense today is to anchor our faith in Jesus and hope that He will fulfill his promise.
In Romans 5:3-5, Paul said to the people. "Still, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character. Character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us." The bible verse tells us that no matter what we are going through, we should find hope in God's glory, not just when we are happy but also when we are in pain.
Cynthia Harry wrote a book entitled As the Spirit Leads. It enlightens readers about the importance of hoping in Jesus. The inspirational book is full of Cynthia's real-life experiences about how she found hope in Jesus when she suffered depression and became dependent on alcohol. It seemed impossible for her to recover, but she found strength because she found Jesus in her heart.
Freedom in Finding Faith
Cynthia Harry's own experiences were an inspiration in her writings. When she was suffering from depression, she thought that alcohol could give her a reality escape. Alcohol dependency has consumed her; it has dramatically affected her marriage and her relationship with her children. She grew up in a church but she was still missing something, it was when she was told to read her bible and pray every day and that’s the time she felt someone came into her and got comfort. It's that strength she’s living with to date. She found her faith as well as her freedom. Cynthia
Harry came to know that Jesus is the way, the truth,
and the life and knowing the truth is being free from any bondage.
In the bible, God asked Noah to build an ark according to God's instructions. It doesn't make sense that it would be possible for a storm to flood the whole world. But Noah had faith in God. He did all the things God told him. He was led by the Holy Spirit and anchored his faith in God, and found freedom.
Freedom is not just in the context of being physically free to things that we want to do or going to places we prefer. We need real freedom, and that is spiritual freedom. Know more the Gospel of Jesus Christ by visiting Cynthia Harry’s website at http://www.livetothemax.com/.
